The trek to Agaya Gangai falls requires walking down and climbing back up 1,200 steep steps. It requires a moderate to high level of fitness and is not recommended for the elderly or those with joint issues.

The most pleasant time to visit these hill stations is during the winter and early summer months, from October to March, when the weather is cool and the skies are clear.

The Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Toy Train) operates between Ooty and Coonoor. While not explicitly scheduled to allow flexibility, tickets can be booked separately to experience this UNESCO World Heritage ride on Day 2.
